I first stepped into the online world because I needed something that gave me flexibility and space to look after my mental health. But boy was I like a rabbit in the headlights when it came to running a business.
What started as something I needed quickly became something I loved. Something switched and whilst I found myself no longer needing the business, I actually really wanted it. I ploughed time and effort into learning more about running an online business, I honed my skills and niched into my favourite aspect: website design.
But all this time I still was relying on word of mouth. Yes I was everything I tell my clients not to do, I was a website designer without a website. 😅
Despite working on countless website designs, I felt totally overwhelmed by the process of launching my own site. Until I decided, why not treat this like one of my signature 2 week projects, just this time my client is me?
Well, a few weeks later I was live. And you know what? The best decision ever. Turns out my process is pretty sweet. The dreamy clients came knocking from search engines, I felt confident sharing my links with potential clients and I could sleep easy knowing my site was attracting, nurturing and converting my dreamy clients (a.k.a. you 😉).
Now we’re a few years down the line and tens of clients and a website overhaul later. I’m so grateful to have found such joy and fulfilment whilst working with such incredible businesses. 🥰
